5Great Stick!  Feb 24, 2011 By BudBarnes
I bought the 20 inch Stick about a year ago. It works great on my legs or on my shoulders if my fiancé assists me. I purchased the 26 inch Flex Stick because I wanted to be able to work on my shoulders unassisted. The Flex Stick works great! It is long enough (I'm 6-0 tall) and flexible enough to work out the knots in both of my shoulders. I highly recommend the Flex Stick!

5On Behalf of My Wife ...  Jun 23, 2010 By Giordano Bruno
... who gave up long-distance running to become a compulsive early-morning swimmer, I'm endorsing The Stick for people with 'restless legs', plantar fasciitis, and other leg aches. She says it works. In fact she says it works miracles. I certainly hope it continues to work for her. She uses it diligently, which can be mildly annoying when we watch a DVD together. The thing clatters and she flails with it distractingly. If she once complains that it isn't helping any more, I'll turn it into a garden stake for hollyhocks.

The idea is that you massage your large, presumably tense, leg muscles, especially the calves, thereby increasing blood circulation. LOTS of swimmers endorse The Stick. And it seems to pass through airport security without problem, while my Renaissance cornetto gets me stalled every time. Why it's more effective than a rolling pin or a short PVC pipe, I can't declare.

5feels so good  Dec 27, 2011 By apg36820
amazing. this is all I can say about this. very simple but it works. I can use it on myself to get rid of shoulder and back pain. also good wiht a partner to really get deep into the muscles.

5Great Neck Relief  Jan 31, 2012 By Laura in Dallas
I love this stick! Everyday after work, I roll it on my neck and it really helps to relax my muscles. I haven't been having the tense pain that I had before. My dog likes it on his neck too.

3Not much "flex" in the Flex Stick  Jan 20, 2012 By R. Brognara
I agree with the other reviewer who pointed out that this stick doesn't have much flex. I was initially surprised at how stiff it was and wondered if I had been sent the wrong product. I was expecting this to be very flexible since the product image shows a woman bending this over her back with what appears to be relative ease. I bought it believing it would conform to my body contours and make it easy to roll out knots in my shoulders and back. Instead I have to use much more force than I expected to bend it as seen in the picture, and what's more I'm using my back as a brace against which I'm bending the Stick. This doesn't seem to be a proper way to use it, since the instructions explain that the user should apply whatever pressure he/she feels is comfortable. Instead I'm having to apply a LOT of pressure to my shoulders/back just to get it to bend!

Having said all that, it's still useful in massaging the back, etc. because of its length (I'm 6'2" tall). And perhaps over time and use, it will soften and flex more easily. But "out of the box" it's much stiffer than you'd expect.
