8 bucks Down the Drain Aug 22, 2010
I bought tear-Aid Type-A to repair a couple of tears I had in nylon stuff bags I use for camping. A couple of local outdoor shops carried it and one of the clerks highly recommended it.

I followed the instructions to the letter but the patches started peeling away after minimal use of the repaired items. I peeled them off the rest of the way in disgust.

Do NOT waste your money.

The box was rec'd damaged and without a piece promised. The patch did not hold for either items.

Picture shows Type A and Type B. This kit is only for Type B Jun 18, 2010
Be careful when selecting this item. The picture shows both the Type A and the Type B patch kits, but this item is only for the Type B patch kit. The description does not make it clear either. Only under the size does it state that this is a Type B kit. I missed that.

The Type A kit is used to repair non-vinyl materials
The Type B kit is used to repair Vinyl and Vinyl-coated
Kit contains:
1 piece of 3" x 12" patch
1 piece of 1.5" x 1.5" patch
1 piece of 11" reinforcing filament to use on edges
Instructions
I haven't tried it out yet, so I can't comment on how well it works. It seems very expensive to me. For about twice the price of this kit you can get a 3" x 5' roll - that seems like a much better buy.

For temporary repairs Apr 06, 2010
I bought this to repair a couple of inflatable beds, and I will say that they work well as a short term solution. They might not be designed for that purpose, or maybe I am not applying the product correctly, but they solved my short term problem. If your tear is located in one of the folds of the bed, which was one of my cases, this product is not going to solve your problem, as the product needs to stick all around and it is very difficult to do that when the hole is such a difficult place. Once again, I don't think that this is a bad product, but I believe that it is designed as a short term solution.

Quickly fixed a hole in our inflatable bouncer seam! Oct 08, 2009
Used this product to repair a hole in the seam of an inflatable bounce house. It was easy to apply and worked like a charm. Enough comes in the box to patch several sizable holes. Very pleased.
