4Works great for wetsuits and rinses clean  Sep 02, 2010
I use little of this in the 'rinse and spin' cycle of my HE washer and even with that little bit of water I still feel this rinses clean. It is much cheaper than actual 'wetsuit wash' and I think just as effective. I have also used this on my Raincoat and think it does fine. My rain coat does not feel as good as new (and it is not that old) but it is better than it being coated in salt water...

5its detergent, not a cure for cancer but it works fine.  Feb 28, 2010
I am often amused by the breathless excitement surrounding reviews of things like soap. Having said that, this stuff washed my goretex shell that had not been washed for a rather long time, absolutely clean. That shell is better than I recall it being when new.

I then washed a variety of camping and outdoor equipment that simply had not been washed and was grimy. Everything is really clean and bright.

2Impossible to get that smell out of running clothes  Oct 02, 2009
I was looking for a soap that could get that awful smell out of my running shirts. It was getting so bad people would wait for another elevator at work (not that i didn't enjoy the new found solitude). This isn't a knock against the product as much as the entire category. If you have SMELLY running shirts - give up, throw them out and buy new ones. The soap won't work - they will still smell at the end of your runs.

5Better than Tech Wash!  Jul 04, 2009
I bought the 64 oz bottle for $16.00 which is much cheaper than the Nikwax product, which costs around $8.00 or $9.00 for 10 oz and requires more per wash.

The test subject was a black and white Arcteryx 3-layer gore tex shell that I used for skiing last season. Unfortunately, one of the old lifts at my home ski resort spews oil as the temperature warms from the lift towers. Not good for any shell much less a white one!

To pre-treat the dried oil stains I rubbed on the sport wash with a damp cloth at full strength and was amazed to see the stains readily lift out, wow. Into the front load washing machine with an oz of Sport Wash and 40 minutes later out came a jacket that looked nearly as good as new (I had missed pre-treating a couple of small oil stains and I could detect some smudging, but overall I was amazed with the performance of this product when compared to using dawn and Tech Wash the season before.

I think Atsko's Sport Wash is the way to go for waterproof-breathable clothing. Next I'll try it on my wool clothing.

5Gets the stink out!  Jun 23, 2009
I've always used dye-free, scent-free laundry detergent, but on some fabrics, it just didn't get the stink out. My husband's work-out clothes tend to get "funky" after awhile, even when they are clean, right out of the dryer. I am referring to the synthetic, high-tech materials, especially anything that is "wicking". This product really does the trick. Now I use it on any fleece clothing as well. Sometimes the boys' PJs start to smell like unwashed children and one quick wash with an unbelievably small amount of this totally rids them of all smells, without any cover-up scents!
