Minus one star for stability. Sep 30, 2010
By Sean Head Worked rather well. The carrying handle is much appreciated. Folds up to be absolutely tiny.
I found it to be much more unstable than ones I remember using with others: Especially when there is only a little water left in it, if the top pulls just a little way in the wrong direction, the water will rush over to that side and the bucket collapses spilling the remaining water. Of course for any bucket like this, you need to find a very flat surface to rest it on( which may not be available in the woods).

Does the job but slowly leaks. Sep 10, 2010
By Phillip Gagner I purchased this item for motorcycle camping, so I needed something that was compact when not in use. This bucket folds up small (about 5 x 6 x 1 inches). It does not come with a storage pouch but a couple of rubber bands holds it together nicely. Once opened, the bucket holds a generous amount of water - over two gallons. The carry strap is very sturdy and looks like it will easily hold a full load of water but I never filled it beyond about two thirds capacity. Once set on a flat surface (picnic table) the bucket stands upright with no external support. This was true whether 2/3 full or only having an inch of water in the bottom. My only complaint that kept it from 5 stars was it leaked very slowly. This bucket looks to be made of nylon and is coated to make it waterproof. Not totally waterproof as it does weep. It's not a big deal and the amount leaking is minimal - maybe an ounce each hour. But whatever you set it on will get wet.

Does not stand up on it's own, thus Nov 18, 2009
By Captain pretty limited in its utility. I thought it would stand up like the camp sinks by the same company, which hold what, about 6 gallons. Those are great. But wanted a smaller version. Just isn't what I wanted or anticipated, and it's more expensive than the big ones!

Leaks Slowly Jun 13, 2011
By Alan Like a previous reviewer, my pocket bucket leaks slowly. Water seeps through the fabric at the bottom seam of the bucket. I might try some seam sealant or clear silicone to seal the seam. I contacted Seattle Sports to ask if this leaking is normal but I never heard back from them. I'll keep it since it's a light packable bucket and the leaking is pretty minor.

Useful bucket Aug 20, 2009
By Ewa Dalecka This bucket was very convinient for my backpacking trip. You can carry water easily and this item takes very little space in your backpack.
