Perfect for endurance athletes Apr 23, 2011
By Chris Hoge

One of the biggest problems I've had in training for endurance events is combatting dehydration. Not just the loss of water from sweating, but also electrolytes. Completing training and events hasn't been a problem, but lingering headaches afterwards have. Consuming sports drinks and gels usually makes me feel sick to my stomach, and seem to be ineffective in helping my recovery. The model of coupling water, electrolytes, and sugars seems inherently flawed to me - a one size fits all solution to the very dynamic problem of hydration and recovery.
Salt Stick electrolyte tablets were a revelation for me. They are formulated to replace the salts that an average athlete will lose in an hour of exertion. For every thirty minutes of exercise, take one tablet, up to 10 a day. Since I've started using them I've had a much easier time with my endurance training. My long runs feel easier, and I no longer get splitting headaches hours after my runs. Along with the Salt Stick tablets I also carry simple glucose and water. I take each as needed, which is far easier than taking an all-in-one solution is incorrectly balanced for my immediate needs.

Cramping Solution Sep 22, 2010
By D. Miller After trying numerous products to deal with cramping on bike rides over 50 miles I came across Saltstick Caps and my cramping problems are gone. I completed 3 centuries in August with 2 of them with temeratures in the 90's and I did not get any leg cramps. These are easy to swallow much better than traditional salt pills.
This is a must have product for anyone does long distance running or cycling!!

Work great!! Oct 13, 2010
By jc I used to get extreme leg cramps on longer bike rides (20-100 miles) and longer runs (>5 miles). Haven't had any problems since I started taking the capsules!

No more cramps! Jul 25, 2011

I used to cramp quite often during my mountain bike rides. I did everything I could to stave them off...pickle juice, mustard, Clif gel, Endurolytes. Still, I would cramp. Cramps became my limiting factor. I could have plenty of energy left, but if I was feeling twinges, I'd have to dial it down. Sometimes, I'd lock up and just kneel down while waiting for the cramps to go away.
Since I started taking Saltstick, I have not had one cramp. To be fair, I've also started biking 4 times a week. But I wouldn't be riding so much if I hadn't rediscovered the joy of biking without the threat of cramps. Maybe Endurolytes work as well, but you have to take 1 for each 50lbs you weigh every 30 minutes. I only have to take 1 Saltstick every 30 minutes.
So thanks to Saltstick, I've found joy in riding again. My performance has gone through the roof, and I ride for fun again, not simply to survive the ride.

Great product May 02, 2011
By P Wagner The pills seem to do what they say they do.
I've used them for running and moving from my last apartment.
The later sounds a bit odd to use these - funny story.
I biked a couple of miles to pick up a moving van (cargo, not the 10 foot truck we had ordered) around 18:00 after a day of packing. This was followed by 12 hours of moving beds, boxes, and furniture down a few flights of stairs, into three runs with the van to my new apartment and then 2 car loads. I carried a 100oz CamelBak, and took these with B vitamins every hour and a half between 23:00 and 5 am. The air temp was around 80F. We moved; my legs, arms and back never cramped, and I remember dropping the van off the next day.
Great stuff.
