good for picnic May 18, 2009

I have purchased Optimus Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery Set (fork, knife, spoon) and Brunton My-Ti 3-Piece Titanium Flatware Set. Both of them are very useful and must have for the picnics. I liked the Optimus design more than Brunton one, but the knife from that set has no sharp edge. That's why I give 3 stars to Optimus and 5 stars to Brunton.

Great product! Aug 18, 2009
By Steven M. Demers I purchased this cutlery set a few weeks ago and use it six days a week, at work, for my dinner. The knife cuts through steak and chicken with ease, no bad taste with the metal and it cleans easy. Very lightweight, you won't even notice the different in your lunchbox! Buy a set today. :)

Amazingly light, almost too light. Jan 11, 2009

You won't even notice the weight of this set in your pack, but it might be a little weird eating with them. After a lifetime of using heavy flatware when eating, something just feels a bit "off" when using them. You'll get over it.

Very handy Jun 03, 2010
By W. Howerton The Titanium 3-Piece Cutlery set by Optimus offers much more than just reusable eating utensils. Weighing in at only 1.6 ounces, this is a crucial item to buy if you are looking to keep your pack lightweight. The most effective way of sanitizing tools while out in the outdoors is boiling them, and you just can't do that with regular plastic-ware. Since you can't wash plastic-ware efficiently, you would have no choice but to bring extras, and that just creates bulk and extra weight. And besides, we love the great outdoors! We don't want to dump more plastic into it! The knife (the one I received) is about as sharp as a butter knife as it comes, but you may want to sharpen it a little bit more to handle other tasks. Keep in mind, it doesn't come with a protective covering, so you probably won't want to make it razor-sharp.
Pros:
Extremely lightweight
Extremely durable
Easy to clean, just boil them
Helps save the outdoors
Use the clip to hook onto virtually any loop or strap on your pack, or even a belt loop. Hanging on the outside of your pack would keep a sharpened knife away from vulnerable areas
Cons:
If you don't have a way to clean them, it can pose a potential problem

Identical to less expensive Brunton My-Ti Flatware Oct 27, 2010
By Oscar Jaeger This is an excellent product. But, at $23.94, it sells for $6.15 more than the absolutely identical Brunton My-Ti Flatware ($17.79). I know these products are identical because I purchased both and carefully compared them to each other. If your philosophy is "Why pay less?," then by all means buy the Optimus product.
