not bad May 29, 2010
By O. Weston 'the best carry around in your pocket squeeze gizmo I've seen. It(red) has as much, or more, resistance as the most resistant cheap plastic handled type sqeezers; more than you would think. It's 3 1/2 inches in diameter, which is about right for my hand (medium to large, 6'1"+) and fits in a pocket. The rubber part is just about 1 inch in diameter.
If you pinch the 1 inch rubber with your thumb and finger tip, you can just get a little compression. It's about as hard as a car tire tread. So, it's quite tough.
When you squeeze this thing, the part at your finger tips rolls in slightly, but the ring stays mostly in one plane. In other words, it keeps a stable shape as you squeeze it. I thought, wrongly, that it might tend to fold up.

Almost a handful Jun 28, 2011
By Bruce Lai Pretty good resistance but not challenging enough if you've trained your forearms any decent amount. If you can forearm curl ~50-60lb barbells or 25-30lb dumbbells then this is too easy for you. It is hard to judge the resistance between the different levels so I'm glad I chose this one since the others would have been WAY too easy. It is still good however for high rep sets for building stamina. Also, great for building strength in individual fingers like the index and middle but way too much resistance to train your ring and pinky alone. Simple, durable, and portable. Oh and of course, two squeezes and you smell like you work for a Mr. Art Vandalay.

I love these things Jul 10, 2010
By Bill I bought the 50 pound version of this strength ring, and I'm very pleased. I love these kinds of devices both for building hand strength and for stress relief. Unlike the spring handled devices, this one is unobtrusive enough to use at the office. This device makes no noise when squeezed, so that source of disturbance is also minimized. I'm a heavier guy with shorter, stubbier fingers. The 50 pound resistance is a good workout for my hands in a short period of time. For stress relief at work, I'd do better with a 40 or 30 pound version. Guys with longer fingers can probably use the 50 pound version for everything.

Great Product Dec 16, 2009
By Zachary A. Faughn Great product, simple and easy to use. my hand felt slightly sore but that was after about 12 hours of on and off use. cant say how much my grip improved but really gave my forearms a good workout.
