FuelBelt FuelBox Rocks! Jul 26, 2010
By K. Shea I have been using the large FuelBelt FuelBox for several years now, and love it. In it, I carry mini Cliff Bars and/or gels, AND my BlackBerry or cell phone. The advantage over a Bento box, is that the FuelBox zippers closed and protects the contents from the elements. My cell phones and on-the-road nutrition have survived torrential rains and dust, thanks to the FuelBox. It has completed 11 triathlons, several in pouring rain, and innumerable training rides and long trips in all varieties of upstate NY weather, road and riding conditions. The FuelBox, and it's contents, stay put and are easily accessible while riding.

Good size, just don't throw out the insert. Dec 05, 2010
By Russ Tee Whats in the bag or "box" as they call it was a bit odd to me when I first opened it. The bag is made well and the medium size is just right for my needs (cellphone and cliff bar). I was at first unsure if the plastic insert was just for display or shipping purchases because it doesn't quite live up to the quality of the rest of the bag (sticky off-white plastic that looked like it was cut with scissors) however, the insert is both functional and removable. The velcro is good quality and the zipper design works great. This is a great addition to any bike.

About as good as it gets... Apr 20, 2010
By Jimmy Slidell I've had this 'box' for about 3 weeks now. Since then I've been on 2 long rides with it. I'm a diabetic, so I mainly use to store a miniature glucometer and some spare test strips for testing blood sugars during a ride or at SAG stops. This is a great, well-built bag for stowing a small amount of whatever - keys, gels, etc. etc. This medium Fuelbox will hold about 4 of your typical gel pouches. It also an internal zippered area for holding some cash or debit cards, ID, etc. It comes with a plastic insert so that it retains it boxy shape. Overall, it is a great addition to my bike.
My only complaint is regarding the orientation of the zipper. The zipper zips forward (toward the front of the bike) so that to zip it entirely shut you have to really work to get the zipper clasp tucked into the space between the Fuelbox and your stem. I can see why this is necessary - when I am up out of the saddle on a steep climb and really working my knees tend to knock against the back of the Fuelbox. When this happens I'm grateful for the zipper being up front out of my knees' way so I don't get scraped. Still, the zipper could use a cord to make it gentler on teh knees or easier to zip all the way forward.

Good fit Mar 30, 2011
By TXNSX I used it on my tri bike. The "large" one is not too large. Enough room for a cell phone and a few energy gels. It's a good product.

Awesome bag with so many uses! (Large FuelBox) Jul 15, 2011
By Just My $.02 I orginally bought this bag for my fixie - a Motobecane Fantom Cross UNO from BikesDirect. I am a casual rider that uses my bike mainly for going back and forth to the gym and for exercise on park trails. I wanted something that would allow me easy access to some essentials while riding or while stopped at a red light. It needed to be secure enough to not flop around;, and most importantly, I did not want to be slapping my knees against it while peddling. The Large FuelBelt FuelBox turned out to be the perfect solution.
PROS:
* It is large enough for my Evo 4G smart phone, money clip and house keys.
* There is a thin plastic inner shell to help it keep it's shape. The shell is removable.
It's like adding a glove compartment to your bike. It just works!
CONS:
*My only qualm is that the zipper pull is up against the center post while in the closed position. This add an extra step to make sure it is fully zipped. If I could change anything I would reverse the zipper so it would zip the other way. I know, it's nitpicking, but it is just a small ergonomic preference.
OTHER USES:
Aside from using them on my bike, another use I found for these FuelBoxes is for organizing my camera gear. They are the perfect size to fit extra camera batteries, cables, AA's, wireless transceivers, and anything else that would normally be floating freely in my camera backpack or shoulder bags. All you have to do is cut off the Velcro straps and you can use it how you wish.
I suppose if given enough time, I could come up with a hundred other uses for these little bags. Just know that they are durable, dependable and just all around great! Thanks for reading!
