The patented Support Web acts as a suspension system for the quadriceps, increasing power at the push phase of the running motion. The gentle targeted compression of the Support Web increases circulation, minimizing lactic acid buildup and reducing muscle soreness, making PerformX tights ideal recovery wear. With Coolmax fabric, moisture stays away from your skin and heads to the outside of the tight for faster drying. Flat seam construction keeps you chafe-free so you can exercise in comfort. I have never owned a pair of compression running tights, but after getting these, I am a fan! Wore them for the first time today - 7 mile run. Very warm in the cold weather as an only layer. My legs felt great - really did seem to reduce fatigue. Definately takes a little work to get on - think really tight panty hose - but worth it. Seems true to size - I am 5'7" and weight 135 lb with muscular legs (think Quarter Horse, not Thoroughbred!) and the medium size fit well. If you're much taller, you'll want the next size up.

So I initially reviewed these tights as being great. I love the compression and they are very warm for colder weather runs. I'm editing my review because I haven't had these tights even for a year yet and the crotch seam came apart. I sew a lot so this wasn't a huge deal for me as I was able to fix this in about 15 minutes, but the fact that the crotch seam went at all when these were such an investment, is really disappointing. I attribute this to the fact that this is a straight seam and not a gusset, which is a major design flaw in the first place. I'm bummed and am now rethinking whether I'd spend the money on any further pairs of tights made by CW-X. It's a lot of money to shell out for less than a year's worth or durability. Frowny face.

DO NOT PUT THESE IN THE DRYER!!!! Jan 05, 2011

These tights are great, however, do not put them in the dryer.
Mine got put in the dryer and came out looking OK....so I ran in
them again. That was a big mistake I ended up with all kinds of
pain in my legs. Believe me they are ruined even if you can not see it.
Overall, they are very nice.

I LOVE these pants! You get a great little warm up just pulling them on, and you feel like Barbie who can't bend her legs all the way...but oh man. When you start running - watch out. I was able to run a minute faster without any pain developing in my knees or shins. I was amazed. For the first time it was my lungs that dictated my run instead of my knees. These are a tad warm - 3/4 length best for summer I bet. But these also don't feel like "cold-weather" pants. I'm 5'7"/150 lbs and the medium is perfect. These dont sag anywhere, and they don't feel too tight anywhere. They fit tight cuz they are tight. Also - no jiggling! I think that's why these helped me so much - these reduce unneccessary movement in the thighs and calves so that all your muscle movement is focused on running. One last thing - eventho these are tight, they don't give you muffin top. Unless maybe you have a muffin top without any help. :)

Tights are pricey, but well worth it. They offer support and are extremely comfortable in varying climates. Buying them on Amazon will save you money versus buying direct from CW-X, so keep that in mind. One important tip: If you are between two sizes on the sizing chart, go up. Tights should be snug, but not so tight that you need 20 minutes to get them on! CW-X is high quality.
