5Excellent for its intended purpose  Apr 24, 2011 By izaskun Iglesias
The harness is designed for alpine climbing, that is "light and fast". It has 4 gear loops that can rack what you need in this context. I personally carry 4 quickdraws (at 63 g each), 2 locking carabiners and 4 slings, among other things. It accommodates my belay-rappel device of choice (ATC guide) which doubles as a (crude) ascender and a set of BD nuts. It has a haul loop rated at 12kn, and is the only harness that you can put on while wearing crampons. And all of that at only 400 g. There's no better product out there.

Good deal !! I was looking for a harness to adventure races and goal !!! I recommend.

4Nice harness  Aug 22, 2011 By Michael LaBossiere
Overall, I found this harness to fit well and it seems well made. I haven't fallen in it (yet) so I cannot attest to how well it will handle that. However, I have faith in it. The cable loops are handy for attaching various tools and items, which is a nice touch.

It is not, of course, a super-fancy harness. But it gets the job done and is reasonably priced.

2Not up to current standards  Nov 08, 2011 By Owen Martin "Statman"
I bought this harness like most people do because it was the cheapest available on Amazon. I personally thought it worked fine (if just a little weird) until I experienced my first serious crash with it. Because it lacks the belay loop in the middle--a strong loop usually in a bright color right in the middle of the crotch, in case you want to compare to other harnesses--there is no fixture in the harness to prevent your body from spinning to one side while in a serious fall. I wound up landing with my belay partner several feet above me, which does happen in rock climbing, but on my side and out of control. The rock gym people then told me that I wasn't allowed to use this type of "Bod" harness and gave me a loaner.

So in toto, I think it's a harness that does the job, but does have some risk involved and probably won't be acceptable to your local rock gym. Sorry-- gotta spring for the harness that's 10$ more.
