5I am a cyclops  Oct 07, 2010 By 31Alpha
Headlamps are a necessity in the war zone. I bought this to replace another that was somehow misplaced and have not been disappointed. I decided to try green for the light instead of red (apparently the DoD now thinks green is better than red for night vision). This thing works well and is bright. The lone control is simple and almost idiot proof--you have to hold down for a while to change from the colored light to the white light, and dimming is a second tap of the switch. Additionally, this light uses standard, easily found AAA batteries. I use it almost daily now to guide my way between the latrine and my b-hut.

If you have the need, I highly suggest this light.

5Great headlamp  Feb 25, 2010 By Susan Moss "Huntryx"
I own a number of headlamps, different brands. The appeal of this headlamp was that 1) I could get it with red LEDs and 2) the choice of various levels of light plus a spot when needed. This headamp does all I need and more--I often venture into and out of the woods in the dark during hunting season and the red light not only protects my night vision but is also unnoticed by animals. I find the build on a par with most small headlamps, and the lighting choices much broader. Just a great little lamp.

5The Remix is most versatile  Dec 14, 2009 By C. J. Moen "cmoen"
I purchased the Remix for its ability to give power-saving low light increments as well as a high-beam when I need to investigate far away objects in the dark. Other headlamp makes and models I've had in the past only had the ability to illuminate close-up objects. The Remix has become my trusty main lighting system on backpacking hikes. My only other backup lighting devices for an ultralight trip will be a small wax candle and a tiny keychain LED flashlight. The rotating head and the easy to find push-button are excellent engineering improvements. The Remix loaded with three AAA alkaline batteries weighed in at 3.0oz. using my digital postal scale. Five stars for this light, and I was able to get the Remix for a very competitive price of $33.50, and free shipping.

1Dead after one trip  Jul 19, 2010 By Bill Abraham
I bought two pairs of the Princeton Tec Remix Headlamps (mono color) and both of them have failed after just one trip. The trip was to the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica and the conditions were humid. I guess these products should only be used in the desert; buyers bewware.

5Awesome headlamp for running!  Feb 03, 2012 By Triathlete in NEB
Most of the reviews I've read regarding the Remix were in regards to camping/hiking. I am a multi-sport endurance athlete and do quite a bit of running in the off-season. With the shortened days, I was looking to extend my running time into the evenings. I wanted a headlamp that was at least 100 lumens, lightweight and reasonably priced. This headlamp fit the bill! It has one large button on the top of the unit that controls on/off and light output settings. The light is easily controlled with mid-weight running gloves. The light runs on three AAA batteries that came with the light I ordered. I've used the headlamp in the lower 40's temp range and have not noticed any problem with the batteries. A few people on the trail commented on how much light it gave off. At $31, you can't go wrong. I would highly recommend!
