5comfortable grip, cool flip straw, great colors, non toxic  Sep 24, 2009 By Eco Mama's Guide To Living Green "www.ecomamasguidetolivinggreen.blogspot.com"
Here is something different on the stainless steel bottle front. Nathan bottles have an ergonomic grip, funky bright designs and colors (and plain ones too), and an interesting spout. It's covered in silicone, has an attached (detachable) straw, and a built-in carabiner type latch to hold your keys--smart!

I can't decide if I like the smaller or bigger ones better (they come in different sizes and I've tried both), as the smaller bottles have a super comfortable grip and seem to hold just the right amount of water for errand running while the larger bottles would be ideal for more physical activity. No BPA or toxic anything and innovative design, brilliant.

5Hooray!! - The Perfect Bottle  Jan 19, 2010 By S. Towner
At long bloody last!! I've managed to find a bottle that fits all my requirements.

I had been wanting to change my old, skanky plastic bottles for a good year now after hearing time and time again about how plastic bottles are becoming more and more of a hazard to use due to the increasing talk of links to cancer - particulary from the likes of Sheryl Crowe.

I have always had my own suspicions about plastic being used alongside food and drink and for me and my family, it was becoming a priority to change over to steel. Even PBA free plastic wasn't appealling to me anymore.

I had been searching high and low for something that fits the bill for me, my husband and my 3 young kids and until 4 days ago, I had still not succeeded in finding such a bottle.

And yes, you've guessed it ... the wait is over!

I live in New Zealand and have a UK Amazon account - I ordered the 500ml steel bottle on friday and received it this morning, which is Tuesday! What incredible service - I am very happy with Amazon and the product.

The reasons I love the bottle are because:

- obviously no PBA
- steel is light, but durable
- the bottle feels great in your hand - doesn't feel as if it's about to fall out of your hand when on the move.
- can hold the bottle also by using the lever-end of the flip-straw - either put your finger through the hole or attach it to something using the practical catch.
- straw flips up easily by levering the lever downwards.
- straw closes tightly and so far there have been no signs of leaking at all.
- Easy to unscrew large cap and feels firmly shut when closed.
- looks wise, it's nice to look at and modern in design.
- perfect size for me - I go for light jogs and walks for 1.5 hours and this is excellent for that. Also good for zapping around in the car etc.
- Great size for the kids. Husband would prefer the larger size.
- using the straw really is impressive - there's no need to tilt the bottle to receive water - the straw is large enough to get a good mouthful of water if you need to, without having to suck the living daylights out of it!

Very, very happy with it and I would highly recommend buying one. I will be buying more..

3Great...but then it leaks...6 months after purchased  Mar 01, 2011 By C Duong
I purchased this bottle in October 2010, and it was great! I loved it, I purchased it because it looked more durable than the Camelbaks and wasn't plastic! I had a BPA-free bottle in the car, and it melted, so I definitely wanted to steer away from that. So even though, it said it was ok to dishwash, I didn't. I just washed it by hand and let it air dry. I never put any hot liquids, just ice and water. It does get some condensation on the sides, but not too bad.

Earlier this month, I noticed that more water than usual was around the bottle, and saw that it leaked under the lid where it screws and under the water hole in the lid, under the yellow part of the straw!! I couldn't believe it. I emailed the Road Runner Sports people, but they would not do anything because there is a 30 day return policy. FAIL. I did not abuse this bottle or anything, I don't hike or do anything outdoorsy, just a student who wanted a good water bottle.

4Great adult sippycup!  Oct 06, 2010 By Adam L.
I love this thing. Much more convenient than a standard water bottle!

It does sweat a lot if you put ice in it, that's the only drawback. Otherwise, I love it.

To all the naysayers about how it squirts or leaks water: I think I figured out what you're talking about. There are two scenarios that would cause these to happen, and a brief overview of physics explains it all.

1. Water will leak from the top if you close it too quickly immediately after drinking from it. The water left in the top part of the straw does not go back down immediately (just like in a normal straw). If you close the sipper too fast, the remaining water will leak all over you. Drink... pause for a second... close. Easy.

2. Water will come shooting out of the top once you open it if you put in cold water, close the lid, and let it sit for a while. This is because the water and air inside the bottle will expand as it gets hotter, creating more pressure. If you open it quickly after doing this, you'll get some water and/or air shot at you. If it's been sitting for a long while, open slowly so the breather hole can regulate the pressure.

Hope this helps!
