Good poles! Jun 01, 2011
By Chanteuse I have a pair of Komperdel for 12 years. They are twist adjust, not lockable. I got tired of having to readjust so I bought this pair to replace the old pair.
The locking system is very easy to use and seem to hold the section well (after 13 hours on the trail). The anti-shock works well, too. The grip is on the small side. If you have big hands, they may seem too slim. I bought the regular size even though I am 5'4" in case of stream crossing when the poles have to be extended to their longest length.
They are not the lightest poles. Compare to my old Komperdel, they are heavier. Also, they don't come with the rubber tip protectors. You can buy a pair from REI if you plan to use them on sidewalk or blacktop.

Love the fact that these are lightweight and collapsable to a very small size, making them easy to carry when not in use. Fantastic poles for the price!
