Soft and luxurious in a travel-size package Dec 07, 2008
By ubat I think pillows are a very personal issue and what is good for one person won't always be good for another. Large, high, hard pillows give me stiff necks and headaches; smaller, thinner and softer pillows work for me. So I use the Cocoon both for traveling and at home.
At home it goes with a low, larger down pillow and does a good job of cushioning my neck. While traveling, it's great on airplanes and also to replace bad hotel pillows (especially the rock-hard lumpy kind). I've used the Cocoon as my solo pillow on numerous occasions and have slept very well, thank you.
Unfortunately, I managed to lose my Cocoon pillow and am now buying another one. I love this little pillow (it's 10 x 13, not 10 x 14) because it's so soft and comfortable, near perfect for me. At home I use it with a small normal pillowcover, and now I'm also gettiing a Cocoon pillowcover to go with it for travel.
The only thing I can complain about is it being black. I know this makes sense for a travel pillow, but that was the reason I lost mine!

Too thin Mar 18, 2010
By Frank T. Steele I bought this and a synthetic version pillow. I bought them for backpacking and was existed about the 2.5 oz weight (Yes, I am a Gram Weenie). this actually weighs 3 oz in the stuff sack.
The thing that makes this great for backpacking, works against it. Down compresses very well, so this packs down to smaller than your fist. Down compresses very well, so this smashes thin too easily, it doesn't hold its loft at all. As soon as you put your head on it it goes flat.
Save your money and get the non-down version, even though it weighs 5.6 oz.

travel pillow Sep 05, 2010
By Sanda I first received two of these pillows as a gift. I love the softness so much that I keep two at home for every night sleeping and bought two more to have with me where ever I travel - even for a single overnight away from home!!

horrible waste of money. not even big enough for my cat Jun 25, 2009
By E. Gibson This was the smallest, flatest pillow I have ever seen. I might as well sleep on nothing. I was very disappointed and would not recommend it at all. Not worth the purchase.

Too flat, too expensive Oct 02, 2008

This pillow was very disappointing and was distributed through ComfortChannel. Very costly to return too even though it's light weight. It cost $50 to return. This is a rip off. Cocoon Down Travel Pillow, LargeDefinitely would not support your neck or head when traveling.
