3Weird Fit  Mar 17, 2010 By Matt
In short, I would recommend these as long as they fit because they did make a big difference in keeping my feet warm and both the fabric and the stitching have been durable. And, if they fit your shoes well, would be easy to get on and off. Unfortunately, it's just one of those things that you should try on before you buy.

The specifics:
I know that all shoes are shaped differently. And yes, mine aren't even Pearl Izumi, but with these being partially made of neoprene, I would have figured shape variances wouldn't be a problem. I have a pair of Specialized BG Comp road shoes that are a few years old. They are a 47 narrow, so it's right on the cusp of XL and XXL. I decided that XXL was the way to go since the shoes have a big ratcheting clasp on ankle. When I put these on my shoes, I have some spare room in the heel and the front half is really tight (even with the narrow). I have LOOK cleats, positioned about halfway in front/back adjustment. The cleat cutout doesn't go far enough back to fully expose the cleat. It doesn't hinder locking into my pedals, but it does keep me from being able to use cleat covers. The zipper to get them on and off goes the entire length of the back, save the very bottom of the heel so that it doesn't open the heel cutout completely. This provides generous room for getting them on and off, but they are so tight on the toe that I have to take my shoes off in order to get them off.

4warm booties  Feb 21, 2010 By Vladimir Ilyich
Arrived on time and in good condition. The large size fit snuggly over a size 42 Shimano shoes (which tend to run small). This is good but takes a little bit of time and care to install properly. I have only tried them once on a cold day without rain, so I cannot vouch for their water resistance although they look like they will do the job. They did keep my feet warm.
