I've been involved in swimming and coaching swimming for 15+ years now - and Accusplit is the only brand I use. The Eagle is reliable, accurate, and easy to use. Robics die, Accusplits last like what seems to be forever.

Excellent choice, excellent value Dec 21, 2009
By Mark Ewers We bought two of these after a fairly lengthy comparison of the various models and brands available. Our requirements as officials for USACycling events were basically to get accurate times for a large number of competitors in events lasting over an hour. Most models drop their 1/100 second accuracy after a short period. Many won't retain a sufficiently large number of times for recall later. This watch does all that. It's easy to use too. The 3 level display makes retrieving times a breeze.
I would have given it 5 stars, but for the one thing I can think of that I would have liked better: It's weight. I think a little extra weight would give this watch an improved feel in the hand. If that's not important to you, then consider my rating as 5-stars.

Good product May 13, 2010
By K. jung I needed a stopwatch that does not make noise each time I click the button.
This watch is great and does not make confirmation noise although I cannot turn the noise on either.
Seiko S057 has the feature to turn on and off the noise, but it seems the extra features Seiko has do not justify the expensive price $80.
Although I think $40 is too much for stopwatch, it probably cheapest one I can find and has the feature I want.

Instructions are on the package insert and are very limited.
I am a USA Cylcing official and it works well to capture overall race and lap times. The cord is a little short. It is a balancing act to hold my clipboard, click the split and write numbers all at the same time. I still have not worked out the right set up.
I wish it had a safety lock on the stop button as I accidently bumped the watch and it stopped. Luckily, I noticed it a couple of minutes later and restarted without losing too much time.
